A marca de roupas Burberry, conhecida por sua estampa xadrez, lançará a partir de julho uma linha de maquiagem.

De acordo com Christopher Bailey, diretor criativo da Burberry,  "Burberry Beauty é completamente integrado com tudo o que fazemos com a marca e com a sociedade".
"Tudo começou porque eu senti que, em desfiles e fotos, o conjunto Burberry atitude, é sintetizado através dos sapatos, as bolsas, as roupas, os acessórios, mas o rosto era a única coisa que eu realmente me esforçava. Quando estavam fazendo a maquiagem, me sentia como se não fossem capazes de chegar a atitude certa. Ou era maquiagem carregada ou então apenas as cores erradas, os tons  errado, o espírito errado para maquiagem. Eu queria que tudo fosse feito com elegância, sem esforço ".

Burberry Beauty será vendida exclusivamente na Harrods, no Reino Unido durante o primeiro ano, também na Nordstrom nos E.U. e Lane Crawford, em Hong Kong.
